Formed in North London, Madness have grown into one of Britain’s most successful and best-loved bands, selling millions of records worldwide and inspiring generations of artists. More than four decades on, their music, spirit, and style are woven into the fabric of British culture.

Formed in the late 1970s, Madness emerged from the ska revival with their 1979 debut single The Prince, a tribute to ska pioneer Prince Buster. Their breakthrough came with One Step Beyond, establishing the band's unmistakable blend of ska, pop, humour and theatricality. A string of hits followed, including My Girl, Baggy Trousers, Night Boat to Cairo and House of Fun, which became the band's first UK Number One single.

The early 1980s saw Madness evolve their sound, incorporating Motown, soul and British pop influences. Their 1982 album The Rise & Fall produced Our House, which became a global hit and cemented the band's international profile.

More than four decades on, Madness have continued to record and tour, releasing acclaimed albums including Keep Moving, Mad Not Mad, The Liberty of Norton Folgate and Can't Touch Us Now. Their 13th studio album, Theatre of the Absurd Presents C'est La Vie, became their first UK Number One album, while their most recent album Hit Parade celebrated the band's extraordinary musical legacy and greatest hits.

Beyond the charts, Madness have become a formidable live act, performing to generations of fans across the world. Now, the Nutty Boys are heading to Bedford.

Scouting for Girls are set to play some fo their most-loved mammoth hits, including ‘She’s So Lovely’, ‘Elvis Ain’t Dead’, ‘Heartbeat’ and ‘I Wish I Was James Bond’. The band have had an immensely successful career, they’ve sold over two million albums, two million singles, had four Brit Award nominations, an Ivor Novello nomination, had four top ten singles, sold-out Wembley Arena and the likes of the Royal Albert Hall.
